In a centuries-old Guangdong mansion, Master Li, OOEDE's founder, contemplated a damaged Ming-era huanghuali armchair. "True Ming furniture shouldn't be confined to museums." This epiphany birthed OOEDE. Our founding team of seven included three generations of master carpenters. We began by documenting every mortise-tenon joint in Jiangnan gardens, creating the first "Ming Furniture Structural Database."
II. Exploration: Renaissance of Technique (2013-2016)
Discovering 90% of "Ming-style" furniture used chemical adhesives, we revived authentic traditions. After 18 months, we mastered "single-wood carving" for perfect armrest curves. In 2015, we reconstructed the lost art of fish-bladder glue, restoring ancient joinery. That year established the "OOEDE Standard": 270-day natural wood seasoning per square meter.
III. Breakthrough: Material Revolution (2017-2019)
In Myanmar's forests, our experts discovered 23% density variation between sun-facing and shaded wood. This led to "3D Grain Selection"—matching wood cuts to functional needs. Our 2018 "Rosewood Climate Lab" simulates Saharan to Nordic extremes, ensuring global adaptability.
IV. Evolution: Design Transformation (2020-2022)
A New York client's request—"Can a Ming desk fit my loft?"—inspired our "Neo-Ming" line. We preserved the "round heaven, square earth" philosophy but adjusted seat heights and added hidden charging in scholar's tables.
